There are a lot of weight-loss diets. One of the most fashionable today is low-carb diet, ie a menu discards all that food rich in carbohydrates like pasta, bread, rice, sweets and biscuits.

The idea of reducing consumption of carbohydrates in the diet has to do with reducing the amount of calories they bring the body and thus achieve the main task, which is thin. However, we note that a low carbohydrate diet alone does not necessarily make us lose weight.

While there is evidence that lower intake of carbohydrates reduces the amount of calories in the body and help you lose weight after six months is not more effective than other diets. The calories from carbohydrates are lost are offset by the calories that gives us the consumption of fats and proteins. In addition, diet is necessary to burn calories and that is achieved with regular physical activity.

Essential component for life and abundant in most foods. Water is absorbed in the intestine and then transported by the blood to other organs. Can be found in the body as part of the intracellular cell protoplasm and extracellular, and interstitial fluid, lymph, and as part of blood plasma.

FUNCTIONS

  • Transportation of nutrients and waste products
  • Regulation of body temperature
  • Solvent substances
  • Structural component of cells

Water is excreted through urine, feces, skin and lungs. The balance between loss and gain of water should be neutral because a positive balance of ending a picture of water retention and a negative a picture of dehydration.
